There is nothing like a nice package. Whether you sell online or have your own store the packaging should be just as lovely as the goods you sell. I can remember ordering holiday cards off of the internet last year and along with the cards came- a bookmark, a hand sewn envelope, a thank you notice with my name in it and someone's actual handwriting and ribbons that I still have to this day. I will be ordering my holiday cards from them again this year (and probably every year after that). The presentation is so important. Check our nice package- if anything you'll gain a little inspiration.

Being half native american and half english- my darling husband could not be more irritated at our cultures terrible habit of overlooking thanksgiving (his words- not mine). Although I cannot wait for his mothers Indian stuffing- I have to admit I am already (although secretly) a bit giddy for the mistletoe this year! Snowy blooms are on my mind, enjoy!

Personal Update no.1

Hooray! My new anthropologie catalog came today, along with my victoria trading co. catalog! Lots and lots of new inspiration. I've been working hard to bring you some really delightful new pieces for my etsy shop, fleuret. I've been thinking about it- and I think that I'd like to have the shop up and running by Friday, November 13th! I think that is the date that I'll shoot for. Also, I'd really like to make it to the BUST's holiday Craftacular at the echoplex in Los Angeles. I'm hoping that after the first of the year and a couple more craft fairs under my belt- I'll feel confident enough to purchase a booth for fleuret at fairs from LA to Portland. I'm really excited about the new pieces and it's taking all of me not to take pictures and show you right now! I suppose we'll have to wait and see how people respond closer to the middle of November.

Anyone can tell you how strong my sense of smell is. Truly my strongest sense- I long for lovely scents. Right now I am digging some pretty, pretty parfums from designers to silky florals. I am so excited for the holidays and to showcase my new love affairs. If only you could post scratch and sniff on a blog!

Bonjour! Thank you so much for stopping in to see my personal blog. I am Michelle Welch-Rivera and I am the owner and designer of fleuret, a shop of small joys on etsy! This will be my personal and sometimes business blog. Mostly I'll be updating on neat finds, inspiration, photos of my life and from time to time I'll post up new items from my shop that I am especially proud of.

Fleuret is a collection of small joys: hair accessories, jewelry, baubles and such. I handcraft each piece with a whole lot of love and inspiration. I love to craft and scrapbook. I collect vintage, Luella and first edition literature. I enjoy coffee and tea and live in a little cottage in southern California with my husband and our dog (Tabitha) and cat (Casper).

I hope you really enjoy my blog and will take time to visit my shop and let me know what you think!
